Wellness Trends That Are Actually Worth The Hype

Let’s be honest. The wellness industry can feel a little insane sometimes.

Every second week there’s a new powder, protocol or “life changing” morning routine being pushed online by someone with perfect lighting and a discount code.

And while I love wellness, I also think there’s a difference between trends that genuinely support your health… and trends that just look aesthetic on TikTok.

Over the past few years, I’ve become a lot more intentional about the things I actually keep in my routine. Less noise. Less overconsumption. More habits and products that make me feel genuinely better physically, mentally and emotionally.

So here are a few wellness trends I genuinely think deserve the hype.

Red light therapy

This is one trend I was sceptical about at first until I actually stayed consistent with it.

Red light therapy has become huge in the wellness space for a reason. People mainly talk about it for skin health and collagen support, but honestly, I notice the biggest difference in inflammation and recovery.

Especially if you train hard, feel stressed often, struggle with your skin or spend most of your day indoors.

There’s also something very calming about it. It forces you to slow down for ten minutes instead of constantly consuming stimulation.

Which is probably half the benefit.

Gua sha

I love anything in wellness that brings you back into your body a little more.

Gua sha feels less like skincare to me and more like a ritual.

Especially when you actually take your time with it.

I notice the biggest difference when I’m stressed, puffy, inflamed or holding tension in my jaw and face. It’s one of those small habits that instantly makes you look and feel more alive.

And honestly, I think wellness routines should feel enjoyable. Not clinical.

Lymphatic drainage massage

This one genuinely changed the way my body feels.

Especially if you deal with bloating, water retention, inflammation, stress or spend long periods sitting down.

People think lymphatic drainage is only about looking “snatched,” but the lymphatic system plays a huge role in circulation, detoxification and fluid movement throughout the body.

I always notice a difference afterwards.
Less heaviness.
Less puffiness.
Better energy.

Your body feels lighter.

Journaling, prayer & meditation

These are probably the least “trendy” wellness habits on this list but honestly, they’ve had the biggest impact on me mentally.

I think people underestimate how much stress, fear, overstimulation and emotional chaos affects the body physically.

Your nervous system matters.
Your thoughts matter.
The way you speak to yourself matters.

Even five minutes in the morning to pray, journal or sit in silence changes the energy you carry into the rest of your day.

And no supplement replaces inner peace.
Sorry.

Electrolytes & minerals

This is probably one of the most underrated shifts happening in wellness right now.

People are finally realising hydration is about more than just drinking plain water all day.

Minerals matter.
Especially if you train regularly, sweat a lot, drink coffee, feel fatigued often or constantly feel depleted.

It’s actually one of the reasons I became so passionate about creating Drinkraw. I wanted hydration to feel cleaner, more intentional and genuinely supportive instead of full of artificial colours and ingredients.

High quality pantry staples

This sounds boring compared to wellness gadgets and infrared saunas, but honestly?

Your everyday food matters more than almost anything.

The oils you cook with.
The ingredients in your snacks.
Your protein powder.
Your bread.
Your chocolate.
Your pantry staples.

That’s the foundation.

Because wellness isn’t really built through one expensive treatment. It’s built through the small things you do consistently every day.

Final thoughts

I think the best wellness routines are the ones that make you feel calmer, clearer, healthier and more connected to yourself.

Not more obsessive.
Not more anxious.
Not more consumed by perfection.

The older I get, the more I realise wellness is less about doing everything… and more about doing the right things consistently.

Good food.
Good ingredients.
Less stress.
More intention.
Protecting your peace a little more.

That’s probably the real trend worth keeping.
